Some grand-children of William Cook and William Robb were 2nd cousins because of two sisters: Margaret and Elizabeth McMurray. Our g.grand-parents Annie Elizabeth Cook and William Robb were 2nd cousins when they married. They were grand-children of Margaret and Elizabeth McMurray. You see what happens after a barn dance!
I have found that Captain George Cook married Jane McMurray. She was the daughter of William McMurray, farmer at Myroch Farm House, Kirkmaiden. No wonder everyone looks familiar.
This is not all, the names Murray, McGaw, McCulloch and McCracken appear in my research; several times!
